NEP Group has appointed Arjan van Westerloo as the new President overseeing its media services operations in the UK, the Netherlands, and Ireland. The move is part of a wider restructuring of NEP’s European business to enhance collaboration and drive innovation across its 12 markets. With van Westerloo’s appointment, NEP is consolidating its operations from three to two main business clusters across Europe, a shift designed to streamline its services while maintaining a strong local presence.
Van Westerloo, who joined NEP in April 2022, brings extensive experience in the broadcast and television industries, having held senior leadership roles in major broadcasting networks and production companies. His track record in transforming NEP’s operations in the Netherlands has been widely regarded as a success. Under his leadership, NEP Netherlands has seen significant growth, benefiting from his strategic insights and industry knowledge.
The company believes that van Westerloo’s new role is a natural progression, given his achievements in the Netherlands and the need for stronger integration across its European markets. His appointment will unite the UK, Netherlands, and Ireland into one cohesive unit under his leadership, a step that NEP says will benefit both its clients and operational efficiencies.
Commenting on his new role, van Westerloo said, “I am honoured to expand my responsibilities and excited to work closely with our teams in the UK and Ireland. We are committed to maintaining the highest levels of service and client-focused innovation across the board. With NEP’s global network and industry expertise, we are uniquely positioned to deliver unmatched services and solutions to our clients.”
This reshuffling marks a pivotal point for NEP Group in Europe. The company has made strides in positioning itself as a leader in media technology and live production services globally. By simplifying its European business clusters, NEP aims to foster a more unified approach, while continuing to cater to the unique demands of each regional market. The other European cluster, which covers Northern, Mid-, and Southern Europe, will continue to be led by Tex Teixeira, another industry veteran. Both van Westerloo and Teixeira will report directly to Lise Heidal, President of NEP Europe.
Heidal praised van Westerloo’s leadership, stating, “Arjan’s leadership in the Netherlands has been transformative. His ability to navigate complex market demands while driving growth is commendable. This restructuring comes at a crucial time as we strengthen our position across Europe, aiming to provide our clients with an even more seamless, localized, yet unified service experience.”
NEP Group’s strategic overhaul of its European operations comes in response to the evolving demands of its clients, as the company continues to develop cutting-edge production solutions. With this move, NEP is doubling down on its focus to innovate and deliver solutions that meet the rapidly changing landscape of media production.
