Quectel Wireless Solutions has launched a new smart module designed to enhance multimedia and high-speed computing capabilities for industrial and IoT applications. The SC200V, powered by a Qualcomm Technologies processor, was unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2025 and is set to provide businesses with advanced connectivity and performance solutions.
The module is tailored for multimedia-intensive and high-speed applications, including industrial handheld terminals, in-vehicle devices, and robotics. It features long-term Android support, currently running on Android 13 with plans to extend compatibility to Android 18. The SC200V is also equipped with the Qualcomm® Adreno™ 610 GPU, enabling fast and high-quality graphics rendering.

One of the key features of the SC200V is its advanced multimedia support, including dual-camera functionality and 1080P video recording and playback at 60 frames per second. The module also includes 0.9 TOPS of dedicated hardware acceleration for computational processing, ensuring smooth performance for applications requiring intensive multimedia processing.
Quectel has designed the SC200V with an LCC+LGA package, measuring 40.5mm × 40.5mm × 2.85mm, and has ensured compatibility with other SC200x series modules, including the SC200E. The modules will also share a unified software platform, enabling seamless hardware transitions and software compatibility.
The SC200V supports LTE Cat 4 networks while maintaining backward compatibility with 3G and 2G connectivity. It also integrates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other network standards to ensure stable and flexible communication. The inclusion of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology allows multiple receiving antennas to function simultaneously, reducing errors and improving network reliability.
Designed to provide flexibility, the module supports a range of interfaces to enhance connectivity and expandability. It includes an LCM interface for MIPI display connections, support for LVDS/HDMI output, and a MIPI CSI interface for direct camera sensor integration. Additionally, the module offers support for audio input and output, with built-in noise reduction algorithms for improved sound quality. Connectivity options such as UART, USB, I2C, and SPI ensure compatibility with a wide range of peripherals.
The SC200V is suited for applications such as smart cash registers, POS systems, vending machines, logistics lockers, smart intercoms, and in-vehicle systems. Its robust processing capabilities also make it ideal for high-end data acquisition, smart robots, smart home devices, and wearables.
