Hundreds of thousands of children across the US, Europe, and Australia will receive Squishmallows plush toys as part of a major donation from Jazwares Cares, the philanthropic arm of global toy company Jazwares.
The initiative marks the third annual Squishmallows Day on 7 March and is the largest single Squishmallows donation to date. The soft toys will be distributed to children in hospitals, schools, and through non-profit organisations.
Bringing Joy to Children Worldwide
Jazwares President and Chief Commercial Officer, Laura Zebersky, said the donation was aimed at bringing happiness to children who might not otherwise have their own Squishmallows.
“Putting a smile on children’s faces is at the heart of everything we do,” she said. “As Squishmallows continue to capture the hearts of fans worldwide, what better way to celebrate Squishmallows Day than by sharing them with kids in need?”
More than 500,000 Squishmallows will be distributed through children’s hospitals, Title I schools, and a range of charitable organisations.
Global Distribution Through Charities
In the US, Jazwares Cares is partnering with organisations including The Toy Foundation, Baby2Baby, Toys for Tots, and First Responders Children’s Foundation to ensure Squishmallows reach children in need.
In Australia, the toy company is working with the Australian Toy Industry to donate Squishmallows to Backpacks 4 VIC Kids, a charity that supports children affected by family violence.
In Europe, Jazwares will work with several charities to distribute the toys:
- In Kind Direct (UK)
- Innatura (Germany)
- Dons Solidaires (France)
Supporting Children’s Well-Being Through Play
Jazwares Cares focuses on children’s health, well-being, and education through play. The initiative includes product donations, sponsorships, education-based programmes, and volunteer work by Jazwares employees.
The company hopes that through this donation, more children will experience the comfort and joy of Squishmallows, regardless of their circumstances.
