A recent study conducted by Loopex Digital has identified Spain as the most favourable destination for marketing nomads, a group of professionals who combine work with travel. The study analysed data from approximately 50 countries, considering factors such as minimal income requirements, cost of living, rent, safety index, climate index, internet speed, and overall quality of life. Additionally, the number of marketing conferences and coworking spaces were also key metrics in determining the most attractive locations for these digital professionals.
Spain secured the top position in the ranking, achieving the highest composite score of 66.88. The country stands out not only for its vibrant marketing environment but also for its appealing living conditions. With the highest number of marketing conferences (174) and the second-largest number of coworking spaces (821), Spain has established itself as a hub for industry professionals. Its relatively low cost of living, favourable climate, and high quality of life make it an ideal destination for marketing nomads.
The report also highlights Japan as the second-best destination for marketing nomads, despite the country’s higher income requirement of $5,691.67 per month. Japan’s strengths lie in its exceptional safety record and the highest quality of life index among the countries studied, rated at 183.8. Although it offers fewer coworking spaces (451) than Spain, Japan compensates with advanced infrastructure and high-speed internet (170.29 Mbps), making it a highly desirable location for tech-savvy professionals.
In third place is the United Arab Emirates (UAE), known for its ultra-modern lifestyle and advanced connectivity. The UAE boasts the highest internet speed on the list at 235.72 Mbps, surpassing even Japan in terms of digital infrastructure. However, the cost of living and rent in the UAE are among the highest, with figures of $981.80 and $1,422 respectively. Despite these costs, the country’s strong safety index and numerous marketing conferences (100) make it an attractive destination for expatriates and marketing professionals.
Portugal, ranking fourth, is praised for its perfect year-round weather, with the highest climate index of 97.3. While the country’s income requirement is moderately high at $3,300 per month, its affordable living costs and quality of life make it a popular choice for those seeking a balanced lifestyle. Portugal’s growing reputation as a marketing hub is supported by its 44 marketing conferences and 265 coworking spaces.

Romania and Hungary complete the top ten, both offering a balance of affordability and quality of life. Romania’s strong safety index and Hungary’s reasonable living costs and internet speed make these countries attractive for marketing nomads seeking lower-cost alternatives.
A Loopex Digital spokesperson advised marketing nomads to consider factors such as climate, safety, and cost of living when selecting their next destination. The spokesperson emphasised the importance of reliable internet connectivity and ample coworking spaces, particularly for those prioritising professional growth and networking opportunities.
