A design and branding agency, Daedalus, has officially opened its doors in Long Buckby, Northamptonshire. Founded by creative duo and life partners Natalie Snee and Jack Castro, the agency is set to offer innovative design solutions with a particular emphasis on supporting the education sector and small businesses.
The couple’s venture aims to deliver professional, impactful branding and design to help businesses and training providers enhance their communications and materials. Their wide-ranging services include branding, graphic design, and the creation of engaging learning resources.
Speaking about their vision, co-founder Natalie Snee said: “We’ve always been passionate about the power of education to change lives. By partnering with organisations in this sector, we aim to create designs that not only look great but also enhance the learning experience.”
Jack Castro echoed her sentiments, adding: “We want to take the stress out of branding and design for educators and businesses alike, delivering solutions that are as innovative as they are practical.”
A Personal Journey Inspiring Innovation
The creation of Daedalus stems from a deeply personal and challenging journey for its founders. In 2017, Natalie left her previous role to focus on launching the business. However, just a month later, the couple’s five-year-old son was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
For the next 18 months, Natalie lived in hospital alongside her son, who underwent six life-saving surgeries. Jack continued working while caring for their three-year-old and juggling weekend shifts at the hospital. Despite these challenges, the couple persevered and brought their vision for Daedalus to life.
Reflecting on this period, Natalie said: “It was the most challenging time of our lives, but it made us more determined to build something meaningful—not just for ourselves but as a legacy for our family.”
Supporting Education and SMEs
Daedalus has already begun collaborating with a variety of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and education providers. The agency specialises in rebranding, producing tailored graphics, and developing digital materials such as e-books and training collateral.
Their focus on education is driven by a desire to make learning more engaging and accessible. By creating visually appealing and functional materials, the agency aims to support educators in inspiring and informing their audiences effectively.
Looking ahead, the founders are ambitious about the agency’s future. They hope to establish Daedalus as a trusted partner for growing businesses and educational organisations, offering innovative design solutions that combine creativity with practicality.
As Natalie and Jack begin this new chapter, their story reflects the resilience and dedication behind their mission to support others through exceptional design. For more information about Daedalus and its services, visit daedalus-it.co.uk
